Lockout

I am eventually getting around to upload some of the pre-visualisation work from the film Lockout that came out this year. It was my first gig after completing the Bachelor of Arts in Animation in IADT that I began right after graduation and lasted roughly three months. It was a great experience and I am very grateful for the opportunity given to me and the time I had working with all guys.

I was working mainly on sets and props, where I recived concept art work from the talented Art Director Romek Delimata  and build a 3D representation (modeled, textured and lit) of what he and the directors envisioned as the world for this film.

I will try to find more in time....

  1. Great stuff Darragh. A rare regrettable case where the previs looks better than the final film - you were amongst the one percent of best people we had working on Lockout. Myself and Steve were really sorry to lose you to a "proper" job when we went into hiatus for a few months. I think the 3d would have been so critically attacked if we had put you in charge of the film's visual effects. A lesson learned for next time. Terrific work dude and many thanks. James Mather.
